Planning workshop to continue WB6 market surveillance collaboration

Representatives from five WB6 market surveillance authorities and PTB met for a SEE QI planning Workshop on September 4th and 5th, 2019 in Podgorica.

After a thorough needs assessment, they came up with the decision to commonly adjust to the two new EU market surveillance regulations ((EU) 2019/1020 and (EU) 2019/515) especially concerning collaboration requirements as well as to new regulation for personal protective equipment (PPE) and new product types regulated by the Machinery Directive within a SEE QI Project. They will build on achievements of previous WB6 cooperation projects with GIZ ORF or SIDA/ CEN, such as the continuation of a WB6 Regional Market surveillance Network or the process of joint actions for specific product groups. The WB6 workshop participants nominated Mr Samir Bekto from BiH as project coordinator, who will hand in a common SEE QI Project proposal.
