The aim of this guidance document is to provide laboratories, performing molecular-based methods for Covid-19, with a framework of requirements, related to EN ISO 15189:2012 in suspected human cases. Nevertheless, as this document has an informative character, laboratories seeking accreditation are obliged to comply with the National Accreditation Body’s procedures for accreditation and with any national legislation in place.
